I headed to Northwich today to visit a new school that had been built in 2004, it’s a very modern building but had a very warm and welcoming feel to it.

I was immediately greeted by staff and made to feel at home straight away by being offered a cup of tea.

I noticed straight away that there were stigma and bullying signs all around the school which really impressed me. 212 pupils were there to great me and I was blown away by just how active and verbally involved the children were. I was also very impressed at the end of my assembly when the head teacher broke down my hate crime speech and got the children to discuss each topic that I had discussed.

An absolutely astounding school which is lead by an equally open and honest head teacher that wants to do all that the school and it’s pupils can to target hate crime matters and to understand just what the crimes can do to it’s victims.
